About Mya

Trinidad and Tobago has produced and continues to produce an abundance of talented artist is various mediums. Sadly a significant proportion of them and their magnificent work never gets seen far less sold. They don't rise to prominence or even exhibit their work in local office buildings. Being an artist in Trinidad and Tobago, just like most places is difficult, especially when it comes to promoting your work in places where the ones that are interested in good art will see it . Consequently many talented artists just stop producing work and turn to an office job because they have to support themselves and their family. We at MYA believe that the world is left that much poorer every time an artist stops utilizing their God given talents that often awaken our soul. Art is a deeply personal thing that not only reflects the artist's inner being but speaks to each viewer differently and in some cases deeply.

We are here to showcase new upcoming artists , this is the mission of Movement of Young Artists. This organisation which was started in 2000  by Mrs. Nkese Miller-Riley with the assistance of UNESCO, launched their first Art Exhibition which cemented the mission of the association, to provide a space and an opportunity to showcase these works of art. When we at Mya say" Young ",we are not only referring to age, but anyone one now beginning ,or not yet published in the art world, thus exposure is what we provide.
