After teaching for almost 23 yrs;my first love;  portion of that period operating my own business-Early Childhood Centre; inclusive of Daycare, Pre School and in the final two(2) years expanding to Primary level; I opted for early retirement as aresult of the impending birth of my first child. I always harboured a deep love and interest for craft and anything with the arts...so after a while idle hands and mind needed a salve I enrolled in a short course in Decorative Pillows and Cushions being run by the Community Development division of the Ministry of Culture in 2011. I was able to utilize and expand my creativity in this class and honed my skills . Immediately following the culmination of that class I held my solo display and sales day...kicking off something I was really unprepared for, the business that is Conscious Concepts. Business has continued; mainly through customized work. Apart from decorative and accent throw pillows and cushions; I have expanded to Bridal Ring Pillows, Window treatments, Table Runners, Table Linen, Christmas Tree Skirtings, Bed treatments (handpainted designs included). Coming soon!!! hand-painted t-shirts, clothing, (adults and children)   and more to be launched in the coming months
